Greetings St.Charlians!

Representing the Federaton of Tianan Socialist Republics and it's population, I would like to announce our application for membership of the St.Charlian Commonwealth as a permanant territory, as well as changing the name of our nation from "Federation of Tianan Socialist Republics" to "Commonwealth of Tiana".

Thank you all very much,
Joseph Puglisi, Chairman of the Federation of Tianan Socialist Republics

Alright. The Ambassadorial Council will take charge of this, so don't worry :)

I think you have really big chances to become a permanent territory, let me answer like that.

That's a good thing. :D How long does St.Charlian Parliament (Or whoever is voting on this) usually take to decide these things?

Not that much, it depends on how much school work we have. :asd: What happens is that the Ambassadorial Council sends you a letter asking for general questions about your territory, stuff like that, nothing terrible. Then it decided whether or not you're eligible for the Commonwealth. If they approve it, the St.Charlian Parliament votes on your entrance, and if it's passed, you're a member. :sisi:

I've just recieved the email. Now I just have to wait to see if it gets approved.

What exactly would or wouldn't be eligible? The waiting is killing me already. :asd:

Edit: And one more question, Tianan citizenship will become merged into St.Charlian right?

First of all, welcome! My name is Heinrich Schneider and I'm Education and University Minister.

I doubt there will be any problems, but one "drawback" of being a fully functioning democracy is that we need to factor in Parliament time. You may have to wait a week or two but don't worry. With regards to citizenship, check out our Citizenship Act. You will gain Commonwealth citizenship, which enables you to maintain any other micronational citizenship.

So any Tianan citizen could still hold other citizenships?

Also, if a name change is required, is it possible for the FTSR to be renamed to the 'Dominion of Tiana' or 'Commonwealth of Tiana' rather then the 'Territory of Tiana?'

Indeed. As for the name change, officially you will need the "Territory" prefix. Thus you may officially be the "Territory of the Commonwealth of Tiana" or whatever. Unofficially, you can use any name you wish, such as Commonwealth of Tiana (St.Charlie)... For example Sandus is still mostly known by that name even though it's official name is "Territory of Sandus".

Screw that, I just realized you're applying to be a Permanent Territory. In that case, any name would be fine. :asd:

Now one more thing, the titles. Lisa Cassidy will be the President of Tiana now, right? And as a permanant territory, would Alvisi be considered our Prime Minister and I a Governor, or would it just be Cassidy as President and I as Prime Minister of Tiana?

Lisa will be considered as Head of State, yes, a bit like the Queen Elizabeth in Canada. You will be seen as the LEADER of Tiana, with no one else other than you, unless you want someone else to take your place :P

Ditto. She is a rather ceremonial head of state in Commonwealth states, and reacts only in really serious and negative cases. However, after taking a look at the FTSR, I hardly think she will intervene :sisi:

The leader of the opposition in Tiana is a cat (Of the Black Panther List), so I very much hope that i remain leader. :asd:

How much longer until I find out if I've made it into the Commonwealth? The waiting is driving me crazy. :asd:

And also, a small poll, what sounds better, the Dominion of Tiana, or the Commonwealth of Tiana?
